“Peaceful and lovely in the lower section ”

After some reservation hiccups, we are settled into site 153 for a week. Cell signal is challenging throughout the park. We do get signal with insty connection on Verizon. Excellent bird watching...

Tip for Other Campers:
Go to haha tonka state park. Very nice hikes. Tons of shopping in Osage beach. Excellent BBQ at Half Sauced Barbeque in Osage Beach. You have to try the Burnt End Nachos!

Tips from campers about Lake of the Ozarks State Park
- Chuckster59 Do NOT let your app for directions to direct you to use the road for crossing the dam or you will be sorry.
- Sunlemming Camp hosts were very personable and kept spaces clean and orderly. Didn't use camp restrooms or showers though.
- Charlie M. Visit historic old town of Roseberry about 16 miles away. You'll find a museum and historic 100+ year old buildings including a great general store. The volunteers who give their time are so helpful.

Tip for Other Campers:
A ways from town and the camp store was only open on weekends so bring your own firewood, ice, etc. Also the caves were closed for the season.
