“Off grid camping. ”

This is the second year we have stayed at Piney. Great place to stay. We camped at Piney Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips from campers about Piney Campground
- MonTex Lots of jewelry stores in town catering to the cruise ships. Basic souvenirs reasonably priced.7 years ago Garden City RV Park
- Beachnbryan2 Do the drive to Dyae, very interesting and quite beautiful. There is a beautiful waterfall behind the gold miners cemetery. Its a short hike up the wooded hill but worth the effort. The cruise ships come in the morning and leave in the afternoon. While they were there we would avoid the downtown as the ships flooded the streets and sites with 4 - 12,000 cruise ship passengers.8 months ago Garden City RV Park

Campground is wide open, no shade, no privacy. All the trees have been cut down due to safety concerns. During my stay there were tons of dogs and constant nonstop barking. Also nonstop generator...

Make sure your ready for dry camping and have food necessary for the stay. Basic supplies are available a couple miles down highway 1 access road at Seven Gables....
Unfortunately this, like many other forestry campgrounds, has been hit with the pine beetle. Many, many trees have been cut down, so shade was almost non existent. It is a good area, very near...
