This park was fantastic. Plenty of room between sites and the best part was you were close to several points of interest. Make sure to tell them if you have Starlink or Satellite so they will put you...

“Large park - needed a little TLC.”

All sites not similar - some were wooded and private and others were in more open areas and close to each other. Pros: Beautiful creek setting and play area for kids. Great laundry facilities with...

- CurmudgeonAtLarge No campground wifi here wed love to see that as a future upgrade! We had excellent cell phone service through Verizon, though, so we were still able to read our iPads and watch TV at night, although we did have to bump up our hotspot plan to make that happen. We experienced a day of really torrential rainfall, and an absolutely enormous rig pulled by a semi cab came in at the end of the day and got totally stuck trying to back into its site. Everything had drained by the next day, so they were able to get into a pull-through site with no problem. Id say if you drive an abnormally large, heavy rig, definitely reserve a pull-through if the ground is saturated when you get there! About the surrounding area: We visited two local wineries Ingleside Vineyards and Backporch Vineyard. Ingleside is a beautiful venue with inside and outdoor seating and a very nice gift shop. Backporch is more rustic, but the real winner as far as our taste buds went a nice cabernet and interesting reds. Definitely recommend visiting both! Also, the Food Lion carries a small selection of wine and beer, and the ABC store is in the same shopping center. We picked up some fantastic North Carolina-style pork BBQ from Willeys in town on Washington Ave. - still on winter hours now, so only open Thursday-Sunday. I imagine that changes for the summer season. The Food Lion supposedly carries their BBQ also, but we couldnt find any when we went there on a Monday we would have brought some home if wed found it!6 days ago Thousand Trails Harbor View

We appreciated getting a last minute reservation here due to a heat spell where we cancelled our NPS dry campsites. We wanted to have electricity to run AC for us and our pet's safety in high 90...

Tip for Other Campers:
Big Box stores fairly near by as well as services, RV shops, etc.
Some good thrift shops in town and a Walgreens for RX refills.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was a well taken care of park. Has laundry facility. If you have kids there is a play area for them and a swimming area. The spots are big enough you don't feel like your...
