“Calm and serene Mountain Lake”

Spent one night at Salmon Lake SP. Online reservations were $34 $10 Transaction Fee. We were in space #7. No hookups, but H2O available at spigots around camping loop. Poor AT&T and T-Mobile (we...

“Underwhelming ”
Nightly Rate: $44 USD
I was hopeful with the high mark reviews but we were pretty underwhelmed. It was clean and easy to navigate. But no access to the lake unless you were in 22 or 23. And there was a lot of road noise....

Tips from campers about Salmon Lake State Park
- rayschilke Lots of nature and attractions to see in this area of the Smokies. A dream place for motorcycle riders. It is an hour drive to more that could be seen in a week.2 years ago Teaberry Hill
- Lkldawg1 Review their website for driving routes to get there!2 years ago Teaberry Hill
- DaBoo My advice? Plan multiple Teaberry Hill trips (or spend a month ;-)). That way you have more time to spend at the camp and also explore the area (we had planned a motorcycle trip everyday for the week, I wish I would've had a day or two of just "camping" or rafting or tubing...). We enjoyed some new local back roads (many of them) for motorcycling (of course there's the Tail of the Dragon - giggle fun, but there's more roads to explore!). Fontana Dam was a well spent stop. For me, it was worth taking the time going back to Townsend: go 'up' the tail, drive the entire Foothills Parkway (all the way to end), drive back down 321 to eat in Townsend and then ride down the Little River Gorge Road - it has been my favorite road for many years. We did go "full circle" through Cherokee back to Teaberry Hill - but that was a very long day or riding - stunning - but long.4 years ago Teaberry Hill

“Site right on the lake with beautiful views”
Nightly Rate: $38 USD
Water hydrants were on the main loop. I was scolded for blocking traffic by a male worker. The other hydrants would have blocked traffic too, so Im not sure how I could have avoided that. I only...

We were able to snag the last available site here for a couple days after leaving the Glacier area. There must have been a cancellation. At first, we weren't sure about the site because it's in the...

Tip for Other Campers:
Seeley Lake is a beautiful little town. Head to the east side to explore downtown or to the west for recreational areas. Go to the Girard Memorial Tamarack Grove and meet Gus, the country's largest western larch tree.
