“Pretty Park, Reservoir, Okay Sites”
Nightly Rate: $30 USD
Pretty day-use park with mowed lawn, mature shade trees, two playground areas, and coarse sand swimming beach. Variety of birds in area. Adjacent campground's camp pads of sandy pea gravel and power...

Nightly Rate: $30 USD
Our 4 night stay was nice. The workers and rangers were all nice as well. I've rated the service a "1" because no one bothered to tell us the dump station was out of commission. When we were ready to...

Tip for Other Campers:
Medo's is a good place for drinks and food. It's just down the road from the campground. Friendly staff and good food.
Tips from campers about Johnson Lake SRA
- Rick & Janine The main campground and inlet campground are on two opposite sides of the lake. If staying at inlet, don't turn in by the gas station (takes you to main campground) but turn on to Johnson Lake Road across the street from the Chapel and follow it all the way around to turn off 18A. The Inlet campground sites are basic but waterfront with more of a "fishing" vibe to them. The main campground is definitely more wooded and grassy green, more of a "woodsy" vibe. I'd recommend a stop at the Canyon Lakes Brewing Company - we enjoyed the wings and a couple flights. Crab ragoon was just okay. Avoid the Nautical Rose restaurant - they somehow managed to get everything wrong and nothing tasted good.2 years ago Johnson Lake SRA
- rvYoungster16 Gas station offering diesel fuel located a block from campground entrance. Walmart off I-80 by turnoff to campground. Larry Roper Trail is a lovely, wide, flat, cement paved, accessible trail through woods by main campground to swimming beach. Other7 months ago Johnson Lake SRA

“Right on the lake”
Nightly Rate: $35 USD
We didn't know it but we were at the Johnson Lake Inlet Campground (Sites 101-131), which is different from the main campground. We had to drive around to the other side of the lake to get...

“There is a daily park fee to add to your reservation fee”
Nightly Rate: $30 USD
We are from out of state so we had to pay the $12 daily pass fee in addition to the camping fee. There was no one at the entrance so we were able to drop that fee in the box and get a paper to put on...

Tip for Other Campers:
The dump station is before you pull into the park so we got water from a spigot in our loop before we pulled into our site. I didn't see any showers but there were bathrooms. This was the main campground not the inlet campground. There is a nice swimming area just outside the campground.
