- Campfam521 The White Mountain attractions stay very busy- plan to go super early or late in the day to avoid lines, crowds and parking issues. Most of the popular sites (Echo lake, Cathedral ledge, etc.) require a reservation, so make sure to book these before your trip or you wont be able to see them. Plenty of lesser known attractions are available that are just as fun and beautiful without the chaos. Definitely drive the Kancamagus Highway (NH 112) and leave time for pulling over to see the different sites. Lots of hiking trails (you're on the Appalachian trail) and waterfalls. MT Washington with the Auto road on one side and the Cog Railroad on the other side. There is a train out of Conway that comes up riverside to Crawford's Notch with a narrator to explain the history of the area. Tip for Other Campers:
The Rek-Lis Brewing Company restaurant in the nearby town of Bethlehem is a good place. I had duck tacos and they were very good. They have outdoor seating and a little garden area.
