“Absolutely loved it”

COE parks are the best in the country. They are relatively inexpensive and have fantastic views. This park did not disappoint. We had Site 58 which was high in the hill with fabulous western views. We...

“Nice spaces with plenty of space between sites. ”
Nightly Rate: $20 USD
Stayed in the Buffalo loop, site 54. Worst site for levelness. It is uneven (both ways) and does not have shade as stated, except for a covered picnic table. The back-in sites were much more level...

Stayed as an overnight stop on the way home and wish we stayed longer. The best part was the sunset and sunrise with an amazing view of the lake and mountains in the distance. Then at night being able...

“Nice campground outside of Albuquerque ”
Nightly Rate: $9 USD
We stayed in the Juniper loop, which is perched on a hilltop overlooking the other loops and the lake. Restrooms are very dated and in need of updates. We camped at Cochiti Lake in a Motorhome.

“This is one quiet park!”
Nightly Rate: $10 USD
I think this is one of our favorite COE's to date. It's set way back (and in the middle of nowhere) and there is no traffic or road noise. If you book, be sure to book Buffalo Grove Loop. It...

Tip for Other Campers:
- Sante Fe is about 30 mins away.
- Albuquerque / Old Town is about 45-50 mins away. - Nearest groceries, etc are in Sante Fe.
- Take a ride on the damn (5 miles one way). Road is a bit bumpy but it was fresh air, exercise and pretty views.
