“Beautiful views and quite nights”

Beautiful views of the St Lawerence River and clear nights to view the stars. The campground ground is very clean and well kept. We were in site 1 which had a concrete pad and an electric connection....

While I paid $22, a New York resident would pay $17. That said, what a beautiful, well maintained park. This clean and quiet park has magnificent views of the St Lawrence Seaway. As this park is...

This is a smaller campground so the sites are closer together than typical of larger state park campgrounds. When the campground is full (typically weekends) it can feel quite cramped. It is situated...

Tip for Other Campers:
Cape Vincent is closest but has limited shopping or attractions. There used to be a ferry that would take you to Canada but it was out of service. Tibbet's lighthouse is a little further away and might be of interest to historians or Great Lake shipping nerds. Great Lake ships do not pass directly in front of campground but pass on the far side of Carelton...

Site 1 is spacious and has a nice concrete patio. This is the only site with a patio. Lots of families camp here, but this small park on the St. Lawrence was quiet during our stay. The price...

Tip for Other Campers:
Cape Vincent, Clayton and Alexandria Bay are all nice, interesting towns to visit. Don't bother with Ogdensburg. The views of the river are beautiful. There is a nice old concrete pier where people fish and swim. A;so a very nice playground.
