Tip for Other Campers:
The Old Forge area is wonderful with lots of things to do for adults and kids.
If you have trouble with a "too high" sewer pipe at your site, look into buying a Camco Rhino Sewer Hose Support. It works much better than the slinky style.
“Nice showerhouse, sites too close”

The sites are too close together, especially when the campground is full. There is road noise at all times. The showerhouse is one of the nicest that I've seen at a campground with plenty of toilets...

Tip for Other Campers:
Old Forge is a touristy area and very busy during the main season. There are many places to eat--we liked Walt's diner for breakfast. There are numerous places to enjoy hiking, paddling, etc. We enjoyed a paddle on the Moose River and rented a canoe from Mountainman. This rental place was very nice, courteous and reasonably priced.

Shopped in Old Forge NY & Inlet NY. Checked out the lakes, and took a plane ride at Payne's Seaplanes and Water Service.
