Tip for Other Campers:
Kelsey's Restaurant is very good with friendly staff. The trip to Bird Rock at Cape St. Mary's Ecological Area is a must for anyone interested in nature; there are thousands of nesting/roosting gannets (we were at the end of their season in Sept). It's pretty much an all day trip there and back but it is well worth the time.

Signal Hill and Cabot Tower, obviously! We tried to get to Quidi Vidi and felt lucky to escape unscathed; it's the kind of place that professional stunt drivers say "no, I'll race in San Francisco or Quebec City or Rome but don't make me drive around Quidi Vidi!" Tip for Other Campers:
We had a Jeep with us and didnt have any trouble parking anywhere - including downtown St Johns. If youre driving an RV I would not take it to the downtown area. You will be ok at Cape Spear and Signal hill though.

Tip for Other Campers:
There's a great outdoor store about 800m from the campground and lots of essentials very close by to re-provision. Downtown St. John's is just 15 mins away and it's a quick 20-25 min drive to Cape Spear and Bay Bulls, which is home to two of the top rate Whale Watching tour companies.
