It is minutes from the Visitor Center of the Smokies and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Cherokee had a small town with shops and restaurants. One day we did Clingmans Dome, Newfoundland Gap, lunch at Chimney Rock Picnic area, went towards Gatlinburg and did the Roaring Forks Motor Nature Trail and had dinner in Gatlinburg.
