Tips from campers about Ross County Fairgrounds

  TravelDiva Big Johns grocery store is just outside the entrance and is also walkable. Be sure to visit the Superman statue and museum and the Noel Neill (Lois Lane) statue. Nice chamber of commerce visitor center as well. Eat at Fat Edds Roadhouse. Great food & drinks at reasonable prices and huge portions! Take a trip over the bridge to Paducah KY for any bigger shopping (Walmart, Sams Club etc) as well as cute downtown Paducah for the National Quilt Museum and the scenic flood wall. There is also a downtown farmers market on Saturday with produce stands and crafts. Lots of cute little cafes on Broadway. Lao definitely worth a trip is the Purple Toad Winery. Free tastings and some really pretty grounds. Great wines too!

  Tim & Deb Nice walking trails. Close to town, so you get a bit of traffic noise. Campground is right on the Ohio river, beautiful.
