- Jim_626 Someone ahead of us shared a tip about the railroad crossing at the route leading to Highway 44. This was extremely helpful. The day before our exit from the park we drove that stretch and decided it would be beneficial to backtrack to Stroud and enter 44 from there. Someone ahead of us shared a tip about the railroad crossing at the route leading to Highway 44. This was extremely helpful. “Small, older park”

The road leading in to the park area was very narrow. The park was pretty muddy with wet red clay. Site was concrete, pretty level but bumpy getting into the pull through and a steep drop driving out....

Tip for Other Campers:
BE VERY CAREFUL when headed back out to Hwy 44. There is a small town you drive through to get to the exit for the hwy. There is a short hill with a BIG dip (unmarked) as it goes back up and over rail road tracks. Our toad was badly bumped by this dip and the angle of the rise caused out bike rack to drag. The force broke the hitch pin! Luckily some locals...

“Red clay, gravel, very nice people”

Very nice couple that run the place. Some road noise but nothing compared to most rv parks. We camped at Oak Glen RV & Mobile Home Park in a Travel Trailer.
