“Nice place. Well maintained with lots of clean bathrooms/showers.”
Nightly Rate: $31 USD
We were impressed by the number and quality of campsites. I do wish ours wasn't so slanted towards the front of our travel trailer. It made for an 18 in step down off the TT steps. Also the water...

There was a privately run 'convenience' store just inside the park. We did not need anything and didn't visit...but it was there if we did. Also, the 24hr lodge had a restaurant that was available for campers if we wanted. The park has 10 or so hiking trails that are mostly centered around the Quartz Mountains. This is Oklahoma, so the mountains are only a...

The pads were concrete and level. The deer could be seen in the park in the early morning and late evening hours. The lake level was very low but there was a covered fishing dock in the park. We...

Tip for Other Campers:
About an hour from Wichita Wildlife Refuge, Mount Scott (great scenic view of southwestern Oklahoma), and Medicine Park, a super-quaint tourist village on the river with great restaurants and shops. Be sure to plan for lunch at Meers Country Store for some of the best burgers and cobbler anywhere.
“Unlike any other Oklahoma state park”
Nightly Rate: $40 USD
Never having camped in western Oklahoma, Quartz Mountain was a real treat. This is where west meet east. Cactus and post oaks easily mix. The park's over all appearance was quite good. The only 2...

Tip for Other Campers:
There are several great hiking trails, including Baldy Point, New Horizon Trail, and Sunset Loop Trail. New Horizon Trail and Sunset Loop Trail are very steep and rocky for most of the trails, so be prepared with good hiking shoes and lots of water. If you want to hike Baldy Point (which is beautiful in the Spring) or Cedar Valley, check with the Park...
