“Nice stay!”

We stayed here for 4 days while visiting friends on our way to Arizona. We stayed in BC080 which does not have sewer, but we went to the dump station before leaving. We camped at Roman Nose State...

Tips from campers about Roman Nose State Park & Lodge
- hikingyogi There are a few hiking trails here, which are pretty well maintained. If it's rained, you will come back with thick red clay on your shoes, so make sure you wear good hiking shoes. Golf seems to be the main activity in this park (other than hiking) and there were a lot of golfers out and about. The Pro Shop also serves as the Park Office which was a little odd. There are stables at the entrance to the road that leads to three of the RV campgrounds and there were some horses there. The heart healthy walk is very nice and goes from the lodge to Three Springs. There is a parking lot for the heart healthy trail approximately halfway between the two ends and it can also be accessed from the lodge and from campgrounds along the length of it. There is a pool, but it wasn't open while we were there since it was after Labor Day. The Three Springs area is easily accessed and a lot of people were splashing around in there. On Lake Boecher, you can rent paddle boats and canoes. There is a miniature golf course in the Two Lakes campground across from the general store, but it has seen better days. There is a restaurant in the general store, which stayed pretty busy. There is another restaurant in the lodge, although we didn't eat at either one. There is no boating available at this park, so if you want to boat or jet ski, this is not the park to visit. There is also no swimming in the lakes. Some people were fishing in Lake Boecher, but I wouldn't want to eat anything out of that lake. The city of Watonga is only about 10 minutes away and there is a grocery store there if you need anything.2 years ago Roman Nose State Park & Lodge
- Bronco31Mike The nearest town is about a 10 minute drive with a couple gas stations, a Family Dollar, and a very clean Love Truck Stop. The General Store on site was small and cute, but had some essentials and awesome niche gifts.3 years ago Roman Nose State Park & Lodge
- HoldenM We actually, because of no fishing decided to eat at the nearby Foggy Bottom at the Lodge. Kids meals $6-8 Adult meals $10-$20.3 years ago Roman Nose State Park & Lodge

“The park that time forgot”
Nightly Rate: $27 USD
We stayed in site 39 in the Two Lakes campground. The site itself was fine, but the campground and the park as a whole left a lot to be desired. The Two Lakes campground is between Lake Watonga and...

Luckily we decided to drive in and check out the open spots before we rented a campsite. The lake is almost nonexistent for the level of drought in the area and the low areas that are accessible smell...

“Family Hiking”
Nightly Rate: $48 USD
We really enjoyed this campground. My biggest complaints are there was barely a single bar of ATT throughout most of the park grounds and I couldnt get any reception on the camper antenna. Only about...
