Tip for Other Campers:
Some sites are difficult to back in a longer trailer so make sure you pick the appropriate site for your rig. Some are huge and offer amazing privacy and plenty of room. The wind was so strong that I'd avoid anything right on the coast as tempting it is with how beautiful the sunsets are everyday.
Tips from campers about Cape Blanco State Park
- GypseaHeart Many short and medium hikes to waterfalls including Helmcken Falls and Dawson Falls. Also, the hike around the former Ray Farm was interesting. More adventuresome hiking and boating opportunities are available. There is a Park Information Centre at the traffic circle in Clearwater on Hwy 5.
