The campground is convenient to Jim Thorpe where most of us took a trolley tour. The D&L bike trail is also convenient....
Tips from campers about Don Laine Family Campground
- Elizabeth_100 Long mountain roads to get anywhere. Close to Palmerton. Lehighton is about 20-25 minutes away. If in Palmerton we love Bert's steakhouse great cheesesteak and Claude's creamery is super cute as well.2 years ago Don Laine Family Campground
- Skyfrog9 Jim Thorpe park is close by for biking & hiking. There are a couple of larger grocery stores in Lehighton along with a Tractor Supply if you need propane.2 years ago Don Laine Family Campground
- Rockkod We hiked the Sawmill Trail, biked 15 miles of the Jim Thorpe rails-to-trail path, and kayaked on the Beltzville Lake. We also enjoyed a wonderful lunch with friends at the Mountain View Vineyards.3 years ago Don Laine Family Campground

Jim Thorpe and surrounding State Parks were the draw. Downtown Jim Thorpe, about 30 minutes away, is lovely....
