Explore the parks in Tadoussac that goes down to the front beach. Cafe opposite church opens at 8am and has wonderful home made food. Market at the church on Saturday mornings, and a wander through the Tadoussac hotel is worthwhile as is sitting on their deck chairs. Icecream shop and wandering the board walk is a must....

Parks Canada has 4 sites in the area, including across the fjord (free ferry) that each cover a different aspect of the area (whaling, marine ecology, lighthouses). They are worth a visit. The whale museum in town was $15 and caters to francophones only. Only worth visiting if you want to see various whale skeletons, but I am not sure if they were authentic...
