Go fishing and enjoy the views from nearby bluffs. Drive into Chamberlain for coffee. Check out Als Oasis in Oacama. Dont stop in Fort Thompson....
Tips from campers about Left Tailrace Campground
- ETB The closest restaurant is the Lode Star Casino in Fort Thompson, about 3 miles from the campground. Lynn's Dakotamart is the closest market which is also in Fort Thompson. The Post Office in Fort Thompson does accept General Delivery. If you need something shipped General Delivery, besides USPS, United Parcel Service (UPS) is the only major delivery company that will delivery to the Post Office. Nice location. Fairly level site. Some micro trash in grass around site. We camped at Left Tailrace Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
