City of Brownfield has a Walmart & a couple of rv dealers if you need anything. We didnt really spend much time in town....

Tips from campers about Lake Brownwood State Park
- tgh0831 While we camped here, we went to Underwood's Cafeteria in Brownwood. This place has been around forever and has BBQ meals served cafeteria style. The chicken fried steak and spare rib meals are both delicious. The server comes around to bring extra rolls, and will top your cobbler with fresh whipped cream. We also made a trip to Perini Ranch Steakhouse in Buffalo Gap, near Abilene. This place has been ranked as the "3rd best steakhouse in Texas" by Texas Monthly, and they have the "best burger in Texas" according to Food Network Magazine. Very good, definitely worth the trip if you appreciate good steak. Prices were comparable to a mid-quality steakhouse in Austin ($45 or so for regular steaks). The park has a swimming area which was fairly flat underwater and went out a long way with waist-level water. The park is also good for biking. L&T I would say more for MTB riding than anything but the interior roads are pretty good and safe. You choose. Look at AllTrails App to see MTB trails....
