Tip for Other Campers:
Del Rio is about 7 miles away. Has all the main types of stores you would need. Amistad NRA visitor center is about 2-3 miles away with a nice exhibit and film. Lake Amistad is fed by the Rio Grande, Pecos and Devils rivers. The water is clear blue because of the springs that also feed into it. Great fishing supposedly but water level is way down. - Ranjr Plenty of trails to take leashed dogs on - we did river walk trail (1.6mi) and was good for our senior dog. Staff helpful at checkin. All roads perfect condition throughout park.3 weeks ago Sam Houston Jones State Park
