“Beautiful Location”

Nice getaway close to El Paso. Dispersed camping only. No water available at park. We camped at Franklin Mountain State Park in a Travel Trailer.

“Desert mountain beauty”

Great hiking, beautiful views. All dry camping--no hookups at all. We camped at Franklin Mountain State Park in a Truck Camper.
Tip for Other Campers:
Campsites 40-44 are impossibly sloped for RVs or in-vehicle sleeping. The ranger saw my number and immediately offered to let us stay in the picnic area 1-5. Luckily, there was only one other van there and all the sites were nice (and level!).
