Tip for Other Campers:
Right in town across from the Gage Hotel, take Ave D across RR tracks and turn left to Gage Gardens. Lovely. Or follow Ave D about 5 miles to go to Post Park and do some fishing. Both allow dogs. Entrance to Big Bend NP is about 40 miles but plan on driving in excess of 100 miles in park for a full day.

Gage Hotel has a nice small bar with great margaritas and delicious nachos that ended up being dinner for us since the portion was huge. A Walk around the garden at the hotel is a must. We wanted to go to the brewery but they were closed. The French grocery is a nice stop for essentials. People were friendly everywhere we went.

“Beautiful Court Yard”
Nightly Rate: $50 USD
Nothing fancy but easy access to Big Bend NP. Staff very friendly and helpful. Court yard is amazing. We camped at Marathon Motel and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tip for Other Campers:
Ask to be put in overflow area. Its much nicer and closer to court yard, store and laundry room. Other area is mostly full timers.

“Peaceful And Quiet”
Nightly Rate: $36 USD
Campground is clean and easy to navigate. Enjoyed views of the Milky Way and full hookups at my site. We camped at Marathon Motel and RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
