Very nice here. We love the boardwalk to the beach. We travel with dogs, and appreciate that the dogs are able to go to the beach with us. The park is a little ways away from downtown Port Aransas,...

Tip for Other Campers:

Book early. We had a premium pull-thru spot which was easy for the set-up.We didn't know much about the area. Friends helped us on places to go.One thing we had not experienced before was a RV repair service in the area. Freedom RV. They were regularly in the park as I understand it, and am told they do good work for a reasonable cost. We also saw...

Tips from campers about Pioneer Beach Resort

  • JK Bassist The San Juan Restaurant is a can't miss. The IGA, always busy, is like a wonderful throwback to an earlier time when customer service mattered. It matters more than hurry in and quickly buy your stuff and then, quickly leave Real and friendly cashiers, not the computerized self-serve employee of the month check-out machines. Port A has a wonderful self-reliant people matter character. I pray it lasts.
  • Sportgaby59 A Short bike ride and you are in port aransas, little shops and a grocery store

We also saw where some park goers had their RV's cleaned and/or some washed/waxed

We were extremely disappointed in one employee that constantly let his dog roam & crap everywhere and was never on a leash. I ask him to put him on a leash, but he continued to let him roam day after...

Tip for Other Campers:

Lots of places to eat. Goof food. The park is great can watch big ships go by and the ferry to get here is free. They take big trucks and RVs only 5 minutes wait. You would really like it here.
