“Huge but great sites and what a beach that is pet friendly”

I was concerned that given the size of the park sites might be on top of each other and have little room for walking our 2 pups, but that was not the case. Sites were all spacious, well planned, and...

Tip for Other Campers:
As soon as you approach the road, about 1/4 mile before the guard shack entrance is a building you must pull off into to register. The last town you come to before heading over the bridge onto South Padre (Port Isabel) has a really nice H-E-B food store and a Wal Mart right on the main drag. Bring your walking shoes, and if you have pups, be ready to take...

I will return. 3 night stay in premium site was just a little more than a 1 night stay at Koa next door in a premium site. We camped at Isla Blanca Park in a Motorhome.

Tip for Other Campers:
Gabriella for italian. Black beard for seafood on padre. Or go back over causway to pelican warf for great seafood. Nice beach lots of wind sailors and fishing in park. Be prepared to fill out lots of paperwork at office. The office is right next to Koa entrance. Lots of easy rv parking
Tips from campers about Isla Blanca Park
- BigBillSD Great place to watch the Starships takeoff and also Land!4 years ago Isla Blanca Park
- Murray Mathew We camped for five days and had a great time! We ate at the following restaurants and recommend them all! 1. Dirty Als has a great fried shrimp platter 2. Tom & Jerrys is a bar&grill with cold beverages and appetizers 3. Lobo Del Mar has a shrimp cooked 4 ways platter that we loved! Added bonus is the seating on the water with bagpipes playing at sunset! Shopping is abundant at any of SPI souvenir shops! The Gulf beach was very relaxing. We pulled our collapsible wagon filled with chairs, beverages and snacks. Picked our spot on the wide open beach and started to people watch as they rollicked in the water and picked up seashells. We went to the Bird & Wildlife Center and viewed birds, snakes, turtles and alligators! Visited the Sand Castles at Gravity Park. Very cool!3 years ago Isla Blanca Park

Bring your walking shoes, and if you have pups, be ready to take burrs and goat heads out of their paws unfortunately. The beach is wonderful for people and K9s.3 days ago Isla Blanca Park

Starting with checkin since there were so many comments: we arrive on a Friday afternoon. Pulled a number and had to wait for 3 others ahead of me... About 15 minutes. Once inside, my turn went pretty...

Tip for Other Campers:
We had a fantastic dinner and cocktails at Viva on the bay. It was one of the few restaurants that was more than just fried seafood and party drinks. We had fabulous appetizers (the best brussell sprouts I've ever had!) and good cocktails. Service was also very good, as well as the location and atmosphere. If you are looking for a slightly higher end...

This is a county park. Some sites were close and some were spacious. Our biggest biggest complaint was depending on the wind direction, you could smell sewer from somewhere. Same goes for the...

Tip for Other Campers:
Lots of good restaurants on the island and also Port Isabell. Birding trails and if you're not a birder(we're not) the trails a great. Sea fishing if you do that. My neighbor caught a stingray. Catch and release on that one.

Large county park at the far south end of South Padre Island. Many Winter Texans here but there are plenty of sites available for shorter stays. Do your research before you book a site as some are...

Go to Viva for dinner and a great sunset view. Their food and drinks are excellent as well. Our server, Manny, was exceptional.
