We took the ferry to Galveston, great beach town. Of course NASA, fascinating. We loved the Houston Zoo. We picked the Seabrook Wildlife Refuge and Parks, saw dozens of Great Blue Herons.

Tip for Other Campers:
About 20 min away was a wildlife reserve that had hundreds of alligators! A must see! It was free.

- Cbors There is a well stocked grocery store next door and their are other shops one block up.3 years ago Lava Hot Springs West KOA
- Jthurn If you have river tubes bring them. If not you can rent them in town. There is a ice cream shop, grocery store and places to eat close by (walking distance) There is a swimming pool with slides next door.
