We love Anacortes. Easy walk to Maritime Heritage Center & W.T. Preston, Farmer's Market on Saturdays in the summer, Anthony's Restaurant (excellent seafood right on the marina) and downtown Anacortes shopping and restaurants. It is a short drive to the San Juan Ferries. You can park at the ferry terminal, walk-on and travel to Friday Harbor on San Juan...

Bring a bike to explore Guemes Island, a short 10 minute ride that is $5.00 round trip, San Juan Island ferries 30 miles from park, hike up to Cap Sante for some great views of boats, mountains, islands, and lots of birds. Look up the town of Edison for a visit, just saying.

The clear advantage of this park is its location and proximity to downtown; all within walking distance. Beautiful views. We camped at Port of Anacortes Cap Sante Marina RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
