Tips from campers about Steamboat Rock State Park
- Klewzoo You must eat at the brewery in the casino. The beer and food is excellent!
- Scott353 Shop downtown Oroville for that small town feel.
- Crystasys The brewery in the casino is decent but if you are willing to drive to Chico, approx 30 min, you will have much better food options. Tres Hombres in downtown Chico is a good mexican spot. Lake Oroville is about 15 min away. You can rent boats through the marina but most of those do not allow dogs. If you are looking for a boat rental that allows dogs, I'd recommend checking out boatsetter.com as the pricing is about the same but there are boats available that do allow dogs.

This is a gem. An oasis in the desert. So much bigger than we realized and were so happy we booked. We ended up extending twice! We camped at Steamboat Rock State Park in a Fifth Wheel.
