“Almost Heaven ”

This was our fourth time to stay at Boyer Station RV Park. The owners are fabulous. They are helpful for any questions about the surrounding area. If they offer a guided tour of campground...

Tip for Other Campers:
The Mountain State Hot Spot which is across the road (easy walking distance) from the campground is great for an evening meal. The Bear's Den is also fairly close by for some good eats. As mentioned by other reviewers, The Green Bank Observatory is a great way to spend a few hours. Take the tour. There are more in depth tours available so be sure to check...

Tips from campers about Boyer Station RV Park
- wv2tx The Mountain State Hot Spot which is across the road (easy walking distance) from the campground is great for an evening meal. The Bear's Den is also fairly close by for some good eats. As mentioned by other reviewers, The Green Bank Observatory is a great way to spend a few hours. Take the tour. There are more in depth tours available so be sure to check the Observatory web site if interested. The more in depth tours require advance reservations. We also walk our dogs there. There are several nature trails on the Observatory property. Good chance to see you will see some deer on a walk. Cass Railroad is short distance away and worth the trip. Snowshoe Ski Resort is about 45 minutes away and even in the summer has several activities available. Full service grocery stores are either in Marlinton or Elkins. However, there are several gas stations in the area with most grocery items available. Trents in Aborvale is good. There is a Dollar General in Greenbank.3 months ago Boyer Station RV Park

- Dunwoodyradio Just 6 miles from the National Radio Astronomy Observatory in Green Bank, a spectacular place to visit. Close to the old town of Cass, WV where a restored railroad provides daily sightseeing trips into the mountains. Winter skiing is also popular there. Road into Boyer from the north (US33 to WV92/28) is via several mountain passes and is not for an underpowered rig or inexperienced driver. I suggest approaching from the south on WV92 out of White Sulphur Springs, WV, which is more level.9 years ago Boyer Station RV Park

Loved the stay and such a welcoming family place. We camped at Boyer Station RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
“Mostly level gravel sites. No cell phone service but great wifi, it is the National Quiet Zone”
Nightly Rate: $40 USD
You just come in and pick a site, no one on site. You need to check in at body shop down the street. We camped at Boyer Station RV Park in a Motorhome.

“Interesting place, nice owners”

This is an interesting place. There's no office or bulletin board to tell you what site you are assigned or to how to pay. Communication prior to arrival was a short email saying they would save a...

Tip for Other Campers:
We had a tour scheduled for 5pm of the Green Bank Observatory (highly recommend!) and afterwards got gas, a pizza to go from the gas station in Green Bank. Everyone is friendly. There's a Dollar General there too for basic things.
