“Older campground in need of updating ”
Nightly Rate: $40 USD
This campground is in a good location to visit New River Gorge NP. Babcock SP has some nice scenery and a couple nice trails. Many of the trails are not maintained very well. Like the campground, the...

Tip for Other Campers:
Do not try to get to the campground from the main entrance. The campground has a separate entrance off route 11 Clifftop road. I would recommend using 11/4 Clifftop Road and not Old Clifftop Road. Old Clifftop road is two way road that is not two lanes wide with some right curves. I would recommend making the Canyon Rim Visiter center your first stop at the...

The campground is older, but very well kept around the grounds and the restroom/showers/laundry room were clean. The Staff were friendly and easy to deal with. The smaller loop of sites 41 to 51 are...

Tip for Other Campers:
Hike down to the falls on Manns Creek (path starts near camp site 27) and go see the Grist Mill over by the Park HQ. New River Gorge National Park is also nearby with lots of history, beautiful scenery and hiking trails. The rangers at the visitor center are great for finding information on the type of things that interest you. The drive to some parts of...

“Peaceful and beautiful place”

Sites were nicely spaced out. Beautiful and quiet campground. Clean restrooms. It was awkward to fill up our freshwater tank when we arrived. Later. We discovered that there is a dump station behind...

Tip for Other Campers:
New River Gorge National Park was incredible. We enjoyed several wonderful hikes, including Endless Wall Trail, Glade Creek to Kate's Falls, and Burnwood Trail. We also enjoyed the scenic drive. Stop by the visitor centers first to get great directions and maps from the rangers there. We only had a couple of days in the area and should have planned for at...

Tip for Other Campers:
If in a RV do not go to Headquarters/ park entrance. Very hard to turn around and RV, I saw this several times. About a mile beyond park entrance is camping area. You can check in there.
WiFi is spotty and I had mostly no signal on Verizon.
