All mountain passes to access the Recreation Area. Be easy on your brakes, use your engine brakes if you have them. Steep inclines and declines....

Tips from campers about Stuart Recreation Area - Monongahela National Forest
- Happy Camper 1487 Best place to camp if you want/need power and water (provided their water is working, I've been there when it wasn't) while trout fishing! The host's are always a crap shoot based on whatever retirees take the short term gig.
- DawgDen Town of Elkins decent sized with groceries and restaurants only about 5 minutes away. Enjoyed the Allegheny Highlands Trail (converted rail trail) nearby. There is parking access from Elkins.
- rollingonawhim Make sure you drive even further up the mountain and go to the Bickle Knob Observation Tower! Don't miss it.

Nightly Rate: $45 USD
This is so much better than revelle's river resort! No sewage hookups but they have a black waste water dump. We camped at Stuart Recreation Area - Monongahela National Forest in a Motorhome.

Tip for Other Campers:

Main bath house at entrance has showers and toilets with plumbing. "Bathrooms" at other locations are "vault toilets" although I will say they were the cleanest and best smelling I have ever seen....
