“Partial and full service hook ups in ideal location to National Park”
Nightly Rate: $43 USD
Exceptionally clean and modern. RV sites have zero privacy and are right on top of each other in partial hook up RV section. Full hook up area has very large sites but still without any privacy....

Tip for Other Campers:
Eat at the Hawks Nest State Park Lodge restaurant. The view of the river. Train bridge, train tracks and large groups of hawks soaring across the valley make for a relaxing meal and the food is good with very generous portions. Nearly everything in area is closed in March with exception of visitors centers, bridge walk and of course hiking trails.
“Beautiful setting/close to New River Gorge Bridge, hiking”
Nightly Rate: $65 USD
This rv park is the perfect spot if you are going to the New River Gorge National Park. About 1 mile from the bridge. 5th wheel had plenty of space - so pretty with the woods behind us. Nice to walk...

Tips from campers about The Outpost at The New River Gorge
- sarahroams You will find a ton of hiking in the area! We recommend the Long Point Trail, at the top of the hike you will overlook the New River Gorge Bridge and the river. We also highly suggest you take a drive to Babcock State Park, visit the grist mill and do some hiking. We also stopped at the Main Overlook at Grandview. It offers a beautiful view of the large horseshoe bend in the New River. Easy walk from the main parking lot. Great spot for watching the sunrise!2 years ago The Outpost at The New River Gorge

Tip for Other Campers:
The Fayette Station drive from the Canyon Rim visitor center is fantastic and drops you out right at the gate to the RV park. The Bridge trailhead is across the street as well. Highly recommend both!
