Features Bar n Bowling alley had good food and drinks...Linda's Bakery is a must stop also.
Visited Grandaddys Bluff...and took a road trip into Minnesota to Slippery's Bar ...from the movie Grumpy Old Men.

Tip for Other Campers:
Granddad Bluff is a neat overlook of the Mississippi River Valley
Riverside Park is a nice place to relax next to downtown La Crosse which has a huge choice of food and drink places
Tips from campers about Veterans Memorial Campground
- pilots48 It's to bad that the 2 buildings that once had toilets and showers have been closed and are being vandalized. Also to bad some sites don't have water and electric seeing that water and electric are/were already in the campground. Tip for Other Campers:
If you play pickleball, they have courts at Oak Park. Disc golf at Pettibone Park. Grandad Bluff is a must and Lytle Landing is a cool place to hike or kayak. Red Pine is a nice bar and grill to eat at on the water.

Our campsite (214) backed up to the river. It had shade after 4PM. The office staff was friendly. We would stay here again. We camped at Veterans Memorial Campground in a Motorhome.

“Difficult to find open spaces”
Nightly Rate: $36 USD
Nice park, lots of green space and inexpensive. However, you have to drive around the park to find an empty space AND THEN go back to registration to pay and get a space permit. Computer tracks space...
