- Barbiepp The neartest walmart is in Idaho Falls 1 1/2 hours away, however, the ride is beautiful through Swan Valley. Brand new Target in Jackson Hole, however they are expensive and it is because of the location . There is a Smith's in Jackson about 1 hour away. - Mswan52093335 If you have kids under 25, I wouldn't stay here. They won't be happy and neither will we. If your dog barks a lot you won't be happy either! If you like to golf, hike, bike, fish, kayak, off-road, Pickleball and socialize you will be happy here and most likely we will too! There are a multitude of restaurants/bars/grills with-in a 20 mile radius but most close early in the evening. There are also quality kennels and pet sitters in the area. The best tip I can leave you with is this is western Wyoming at it's best and no one cares about changing anything in the near future!!! Safe travels!3 years ago Star Valley Ranch RV Park

Grocery shopping at Broulins in Thayne is closer than driving all the way to Alpine (Same store)
