We love Sipapu. Trails to hike in the summer, right on the river, fhu! Spots are very close together but youre on the river. We camped at Sipapu Lodge in a Fifth Wheel.

Drive in with a small vehicle before you go up the campgrounds with your rig if you can. First 8 campgrounds (la junta lower canyon) are amazing if you can get them and right on the river. Next 8 La junta upper are spacious and tons of fun and about 20y from the river. Duran canyon is right up the road on 76 as well, and is more prone to wildlife that you...

Tip for Other Campers:
You are 1hr from Fort Johnson LA. The dollar general down the street has basic groceries. There is a small grocery store with larger selection about 10 min drive across the bridge in LA. Walmart is about 30 min drive.
Lots of great areas to explore and play in the area.
