Tip for Other Campers:
During this time of the year, the lake has about a four-foot winter drawdown, which leaves some beaches and fishing spots distant from "normal" shorelines. This does not, however, take away from the winter beauty of the lake, which has ZERO development onshore, and lends a true "out in the wilderness feel" to the park.

Tip for Other Campers:
Visit Hot Springs National Park for it's eight historic bathhouses and 26 miles of trails. Great entertainment in this tourist town, including name talent at Oaklawn racetrack, Bank OZK Arena, and summertime at Magic Springs theme park. Several other state parks within an hours drive.
