Safeway is a hop skip and a jump from the RV park. Williams is a long one-way road that is very Route 66 oriented and fun. The food is very good Visiting the Grand Canyon was the best time worth the cost if you do the train experience and take a bus tour, but if you drive yourself and hike/walk and do the shuttle the cost is very reasonable. The town is very Route 66 oriented. As to shopping for food or getting gas go to Williams or Kingman. No matter where you ate the food was great. If you want entertainment, you either had to travel or make your own.
