There is a beautiful trail to the top of Mount Jefferson. The New River is close by for rafting, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. West Jefferson is a beautiful little town with antique shops, restaurants and a Cheese Factory. The nearby New River flows north and is actually the 2nd oldest river in the world.
