Question: Can you actually SEE the river from the riverview sites? None of the photos actually show a view of the river from any site. Thank you.
Answer:
Yes. You can see the river from the RV sites, although the West Bank of the river is largely obscured by the levee that borders it. There is a very nice walking path atop the levee, and from there you can see the river's full breadth.You can also see the bridge that connects Louisiana with the historical city of Natchez MS. The bridge is about a mile or less from the park. Natchez is an interesting old town, for many reasons, and is well worth the visit. There is a tourist center just across the bridge, and you can access a reasonably priced tour from there....

Try The Mariner Restaurant overlooking Sibley Lake--a varied dinner menu with delicious seafood items. We also like Merci Beaucoup, in downtown Natchitoches, open for brunch and lunch.
