Definitely take a walk through the day-use area and the trail along the river. City Hall Saloon in nearby Cumberland (2 miles) has great food and a fun biker/historical decor.

There are rattlesnake warning signs throughout the area. We didn't encounter any, but we also didn't stray off the well-traveled paths.
Made a day-trip into Dillon. Nice little town with a few historical sites and parks. Good place to get supplies, fuel, and maybe hit a pub/restaurant.

Lots of fishing opportunities seemed available. Several conveniently located lakes in the area. Lakes are stocked with hatchery fish per staff. Worth a short drive to check them all out and staff will provide you with a map. Quite a few minimally developed campgrounds near the lakes.

Curlew Lake State Park is very nice. Beautiful lake and nice day-use facilities. Good place for a picnic.

The best spots are up a fairly steep hill (gravel road) within the park. If towing, recommend 4-wheel drive to avoid spitting gravel on to your trailer.
