Independence Pass is gorgeous - you go through Twin Lakes which is a quaint little town to get to the pass. We didn't eat there but reviews say the food is incredible along with the view. We ate lunch by the lakes themselves and highly recommend stopping at them to takes some pics and just relax at the beauty.

Tip for Other Campers:
The sites are built to place 2 units opposite of each other (to reach the hookups) but each has a grassy area for guests to cook on their own fire ring and eat at the picnic table. We have a 34' Winnebago and tow a full size Tahoe. The site was plenty long enough for rig and tow vehicle.
