Hiking at the gorge is nice and the water features are pretty amazing. The gondola ride at Loon Mountain is pretty cool, along with the caves, though I thought a bit pricey. The Boothbay Craft Brewing Company is right down the road and is a hidden gem (they are also on this site as they are a small campground too). They make homemade pizza that satisfied this New Yorker. After talking to the owner who makes the pizzas, I found out he was from New York too. They have some great beers that they brew onsite. It was very laid back...

This is a small campground but nice and clean. The staff got us all hooked up nicely. It is a touch expensive but you are also in a premium spot, right on the beach. Quite a bit to do in the area....

Tip for Other Campers:
If in search of lobsters, try some of the fishermen at the local docks. At the date of our stay, we could generally find it for $5.75 a pound, whereas some of the local lobster pounds were selling it for double that.
