Question: We have a big rig. Will we be able to get a reserved spot for that size when reserving, or is that FCFS? I'd hate to get there with our reservation and find there is not a space big enough for us. Thank you.
Answer:
From the NPS Tek website: "Maximum length of an individual RV or camper-trailer is 40'. The combined length of a vehicle and trailer combination may exceed 40', but each individual vehicle component (e.g., the truck or trailer) may not exceed 40' on its own. A trailer in tow must be integral to the camping experience. An example of a permitted combination would be a truck pulling a camper-trailer. Conversely, a car being towed behind an RV would not considered integral, and therefore the car must be left at the park entrance." And yes, Virginia, there are bears......
Question:
Is this CG fully open? Still running into quite a number of parks where we’re told “showers & restrooms are closed due to Covid.” So America is open but State / Fed / RV parks & restrooms aren’t? Thx… Enquiring Minds....

Tip for Other Campers:
Mixed reviews on local cafe’s and diners, so we’re going to check out two in the morning, Penny’s and Staci Ann’s. Conveniently located next to each other at the on-ramp to 80, and with an empty lot between so we can park our 50’ rig and survey the situation.
