Very open spaces. However, great access to hiking/walking trails and to a beautiful long beach. We camped at Anchorage Provincial Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tip for Other Campers:
Must make reservations to go to Machias Seal Island to see the Atlantic puffins. Incredible experience. Reserve early as spaces are limited.

Tip for Other Campers:
Great hiking trails near by. Must do the Middle Head trail which departs at the Keltic Lodge. Go to the Keltic Lodge for a light dinner and great Keltic music. Great golfing at the Highlands Link golf course. Needs a bit of maintenance. However, cannot beat the scenery. Challenging course. If not on the fairway, forget your ball.

The service at this campground was outstanding. The front desk person was very friendly and helpful.Although the campsites are close, everyone was respectful of each others space and of the curfew....

Tip for Other Campers:
Most do the Skyline trail. Outstanding views. Very well maintained. If you play golf, definitely recommend the Portage Golf Club. Excellent. Avoid the Doryman Pub. Food and music of low standards.
