Tip for Other Campers:
Turn left out of the park follow the road around and take a left onto grand Avenue. Follow this down to the beach. There is free parking and you can follow the boardwalk to the butterfly preserve and it gives you full access to the beach and the dunes. Head up hwy 1 to Morro bay to see the sea otters....
Level, paved sites with plenty of room to pull through. Super clean and all staff were friendly and helpful. Store has a minimal supply (little to no food) but the mall is close enough to walk to....

Tip for Other Campers:
Lighthouse at low tide (was closed when we were there), nearby beaches for a relaxing day (dogs are welcomed) redwoods, both north and south, Trees of Mystery south of town. Ate at the Harvest Cafe and the food was quite good. Other restaurants in town may or may not be open, due to lack of help....
Site 10 pull thru, full hookups. One of my top 3 favorite KOAs in the 9 western US. Site was roomy and level with picnic table and fire ring, although no wood fires. Bathrooms were clean and showers...

Tip for Other Campers:
Lassen National park is a must see (plan a day to be able to stop and explore), Subway Cave, a self funded tour through a lava tube, and Burney Falls, which is worth the drive. Shingle town has a small grocery....
