“Peaceful and Beautiful”

We enjoyed staying at the Boulevard KOA. It's a lovely campground with lots of trees and spacious (for a KOA) sites). It's quiet. It's located close to great hiking (within an hour's drive) and it's...

Tip for Other Campers:
We hiked in Pine Valley at Pine Creek (not the Secret Canyon trail, which is not well-maintained), but right next to it; looks like a road a first) was fabulous. You can go for a couple hours and it's easy walking with stunning views). We also hiked in the Laguna Recreation Center, the Laguna recommended by the Hiking Guy, and it's was gorgeous. We also...

We loved this KOA! It is a well-designed and maintained KOA. Lots of trees. Sites are close together and the campground was close to a busy road, but that's KOA. The bathrooms were beautiful and...

Tip for Other Campers:
We went into San Antonio a couple days. One to visit Mission Conception, walk the River Walk, and have dinner at Rosario's; The mission and walk were awesome although it was very hot and we didn't have water. Dinner was okay. Another time we rented bikes from Blue Star bike shop and went for a long ride on the River Walk. The bikes were reasonable and very...

“Beautiful Wooded and Hilly Campground”

We stayed two nights, hiking on the day we had in the national park, which is just 10 minutes away. The campground is cool--it's hilly and there are many trees. The sites are gravel with nicely built...

Tip for Other Campers:
We hiked a few trails in the national park and climbed up the fire tower. It was a beautiful day and the trails were beautiful. The park doesn't seem so big and it is close enough to civilization that you see it and hear noise sometimes. But the trails were still through woods and there were lots of cool rocks and hills.
