Tip for Other Campers:
Watch GPS as ours had us get off the I-20 15 min early which took us on a 2 lane road with 3 narrow bridges that have a max weight of 15k. That was a bit nerve wracking. There is an exit close to the location that we will watch for next time.

Visit the Auburn U area, but not during games (too busy)... Beautiful with lots of restaurants etc.

As other reviews have mentioned the biggest downside are the potholes and untrimmed trees. Staff was friendly and warned us of the potholes. There is NO avoiding them. Plenty of trees between sites....

An hour from Magnolia in Waco so great if you want park like camping and some in-town activities. Make a reservation at Magnolia Table! Walk-ins waited nearly 2 hours.
