“Proximity to the south entrance of Petrified Forest National Park ”
Nightly Rate: $15 USD
You can't get much closer to the south entrance. Be prepared for high winds and dust! We camped at Petrified Forest Gift Shop in a Motorhome.
Tip for Other Campers:
The 2 parks at the entrance are owned by the same company. You'll need to cross the the road and use their dumpster for garbage disposal.

Note: Check in time is 3pm even though when we arrived on a Sunday to check in, the office was closed. We had no person to person interaction with the campground staff.

Arrive before the office closes, which is a 5pm or you will need to disconnect your towed before entering the park / site.
