“Great Owners”
Nightly Rate: $18 USD
We have mixed feelings about Southern Belle. Stayed three months late December to late March. The owners are good folks who are compassionate and will help everyone with just about anything. While not...

Tip for Other Campers:
Best restaurants we found were in Fairhope or Gulf Shores. Fairhope has a quaint down town with very narrow streets, many shops to browse and a super pier to walk. Fairhope became our go to place for groceries too, even the Wal-Mart there in more upscale than many. We used the toll bridge to Gulf Shores once and didn't think the $8 round trip was worth it....

Some sites have been greatly improved since our last visit here. This park is on a hill so some sites might be difficult to get into, these are pointed out on the web site. Rec hall is outstanding...

Tip for Other Campers:
See a medieval style castle just down the road. Bishop's Castle is very busy on the weekends and is a must see.
“Owners are good folks”
Nightly Rate: $17 USD
This is a no frills RV park but don't let that fool you. Owners and campers in the park organize occasional events around the fire pit, palapa, restaurants and the like. Many here are repeat visitors...

Tip for Other Campers:
Ferry can be very busy near holidays, we had a two hour wait just before new years. Grocers in Galveston best bet, look for Randal's close to the Walmart for good prices, nice meat and produce and not too crowded with people. We came in from the east, easier than driving through Houston area.

Question: Is there ceel phone coverage there? How about AT&Tcoverage?
Answer:
When we camped at One Mile in 2018 had to drive quite a ways to get a signal on AT&T. Up the cutoff to Crested Butte or towards Almont....
