The nearest DC Metro (subway) station is New Carrolton about 19 miles from the campground. Once you're on the Metro you can get anywhere in DC. It looked like the campground had shuttles so you might contact them to see if that's an option. This KOA is actually closer to Annapolis, MD than DC. Another option would be Cherry Hill Park in Beltsville , MD. It's actually closer to a Metro station and also offers transportation directly to the National Mall for a fee. Enjoy your trip!...

For someone wanting to see DC, Cherry Hill is by far the better option. This is based on our having stayed at both often. In fact we'll be at both in a few days....
